my weakness.

I have an undying love for chocolate chip cookies. They are my ultimate sugar weakness, whenever there is a choc. chip cookie around I just cannot resist their chewy chocolaty goodness. I have been trying out many different recipes over the years in search of "the best in my book" chocolate chip cookie recipe. I believe I have found it. I was scouring Pinterest yesterday looking for nothing in know how it goes...and came across the blog The Comfort of Cooking. It was there that I found what looked like a good cookie recipe, so I set out to make them.

First I gathered all the required ingredients:

and then I got started.

Chocolate Chip Cookies:

- 1 cup (2sticks) butter, softened                               - 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar                                         - 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar                                           - 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 eggs                                                                     - 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract                                                - 2 cups chocolate chips

*Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

1. Combine: flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
2. Combine: butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl. Mix until very creamy.
3. Add: eggs and vanilla to creamed mixture. Beating well after each addition.
4. Pour: flour mixture into creamed mixture one cup at a time. Continue mixing until well combined.
5. Finally add chocolate chips. Stir well.

*Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden brown.

couldn't have made them without my little helper.
I highly recommend this recipe. The cookies came out perfect, crisp around the edges and chewy on the inside, just the way I like em. There is nothing quite like a warm chocolate chip cookie and a tall glass of cold milk.

What is your favorite treat, the kind that is just too hard to pass up? Got an amazing chocolate chip cookie recipe you want to share?

so I finally used the choc chips I bought in July and made this recipe tonight. Delish! And before I put the chips in I thought about "Where's the Choc Chips?" cookies we used to make.

I'm so glad you liked them! I think about "where's the chocolate chip cookies" all the time. I even made them a couple months ago when I thought I had choc chips, but realized I didn't after making the dough.
